Thailand

Day 1

Reached Hatyai, thailand in the morning, afterwhich had lunch and proceeded to check in hotel. Lodge at Lee gardens plaza hotel, on the 23rd floor. Hotel room wasn't that impressive, but the scenery from the room made up for it.

We were shopping in the noon when it rained and we have no choice but to return to the hotel.

I dislike slacking in the hotel, especially when you turn on the tv and listen to a language you don't understand. It made me feel very moody and i hate that.
Since i'm in thailand must not forget to have give their tom yam soup a try. Had that for dinner and find that it's not spicy but its very sour.

Instead the most spicy dish is the bean-like vegetable with prawns, that's the most spicy thing. Even my auntie from thailand almost cried.

This is where we had our dinner.

And some of the roadside stall, those super big prawns caught my eye.

Not forgetting to bargain. My aunt and her mum bargaining.

Modern thai wedding?

Day 2

Buffet breakfast in the hotel for only S$5, cheap! But the food was only so-so. Booked a van to some temples up the hill, was quite scary how the car managed to travel up the steep slope.

One of the temples we went to have caves and we actually went inside them! Was very scary coz it was dark inside the cave and doesn't look safe, plus a few of the paths were very narrow and slippery.

Dinner for second day aunt brought us to steamboat at MK restaurant. It was okay.. except that the soup base is a little bland.
Probably be great if they serve tom yam soup.

Outside the hotel, roadside stalls

Day 3

Last day in thailand ended with some last minute shopping in the market.

Their markets are similar to ours, but more mosquitos.

Last picture taken. Outside the hotel building before leaving. So sad.

Also the street that i've been walking to and fro for the umpteen time.

In thailand there are little traffic lights, at least at the street i'm staying in, and the cars will stop and allow you to cross. I thought that was a gracious act. You can find several fruit stalls by the roadside, in sg you can only find fruits in the market, people staying there must be very healthy, if they have the money.

The time over there is one hour earlier than sg time. I like that coz everytime i look at my watch(sg time) i know that i have one hour more. More time for everything.
